Q. What are the dimensions of the InFusion™?

Q. InFusion™ can’t see any networks.
A. Check that the wireless access point is configured properly. SSID broadcasting may be disabled, in which case a manual network profile will need to be entered through InFusion™ settings.

Q. InFusion™ can detect the right SSID, but can’t connect.
A. This could be due to many things, the first is a security measure used in some networks known as MAC filtering. This is where the wireless access point has a list of known devices which are allowed to connect, and all others are denied access. To resolve this, either MAC filtering needs to be disabled on the wireless access point, or the InFusion™ MAC address needs to be added to the list. To locate the MAC address, see the ‘Information’ screen under ‘InFusion™ Setup’. Another possible problem is encryption. The InFusion™ may not have the correct WEP key stored for the given network, or the network may use a different encryption protocol, one unsupported by the InFusion™. Finally, wireless access points have a maximum number of simultaneous connections; ensure there is a spare connection available.

Q. InFusion™ connects to the network, but can’t stream or search for stations.
A. Check that the wireless router has an active internet connection, and that any gateway firewalls allow the InFusion™ access to Port 80. If it is a commercial Hotspot which uses iPass, ensure that the username and password are correct, and that iPass is enabled.

Q. Custom URL won’t stream.
A. There could be many reasons for this. Perhaps the streaming audio format is not supported by the InFusion™, or the station server is busy, or the URL is incorrect.

Q. WEP doesn’t seem to work.
A. Make sure that your router has WEP enabled, and key type is set to Automatic. Either 64 or 128 bits is ok. Ensure that the only key 1 (if multiple keys are optional) is enable, and that it all characters in the key are hexadecimal values (ie 0 to 9 and/or A to F.) Some router models have been found to have difficulties, such as the NetGear WGT624 v3.

Q. InFusion™ keeps locking up.
A. If by any chance your InFusion locks up, please insert a small pin into the InFusion reset button on the rear of the device.

Please note: This should only be used as a last resort.

Q. The InFusion™ used to be able to connect to a particular network, but now it won’t.
A. Check Router Settings to ensure that nothing has changed with the network setup, such as MAC filtering has being enabled.  If nothing has changed, trying restarting your router, by unplugging it from the power, and then reconnecting the power.

Still Unable to connect? It is possible something has changed in the InFusion™ profile of that particular network. Go to ‘WiFi setup’ in InFusion™ setup, and delete the network profile that is having the trouble.  Once complete, restart the InFusion™, and scan for the network by Selecting ‘New Connection.’ You should then be able to connect.

Q. How do I upgrade the Firmware?
A. Visit the downloads page for full firmware upgrade instructions.

Q. The connection drops out after a few minutes.
A. Visit our website to ensure that you have the most up to date firmware version. Firmware available from the downloads page.

The InFusion™ range will vary, depending on many variables such as distance, but also wall thickness (eg. solid brick walls can greatly influence the effective range).

The InFusion™ uses 802.11b WiFi to connect to the internet, a standard which uses similar frequencies to products such as cordless telephones (e.g. 2.4GHZ). Some Older appliances such as vacuum cleaners, blenders etc can generate interference known as RF noise.

Other sources of interference might be other routers to other networks.

Ensure there aren’t too many WiFi devices attempting to connect to the same access point. Home WiFi routers are limited to the number of devices that may connect to them. Commercial WiFi Routers such as McDonalds Hotspots can handle more devices.

If the InFusion™ begins streaming then cuts stream or loses connection every minute, please check the Router and configure to 802.11b only, and also remove WEP or any other Security, and change to MAC security only. The MAC address of your InFusion™ can be found under the Information Menu (page 22 of the manual).

The current station that you are connected to may be experiencing technical difficulties. Please try selecting a different station.

Q. When trying to connect to the service data base, it keeps saying ‘Server busy, try later.’
A. Please email your MAC address and Serial number to support@torianwireless.com. We will check our database to ensure that your InFusion™ is on the list of allowed users.

The server timeout is due to the high number of devices attempting to access the server. We are currently working on migration to a new database server to allow further simultaneous connections.

Q. I can only stream for a few hours.
A. Please visit the downloads page to upgrade to the most recent firmware.

Q. The Battery indicator is shows that I have 66% left, but then the unit shuts off.
A. Please visit the downloads page to upgrade to the most recent firmware.

Q. I tried to record for a few hours, but at the end I only captured a few minutes.
A. Please visit the downloads page to upgrade to the most recent firmware. We have added support to enable recording to resume after a service dropout, where possible.

Q. Can my InFusion™ record to the MMC?
A. The InFusion™ is able to record from the Internet Radio to the MMC. You cannot record from the FM Tuner to the MMC.

Q. How much on board memory does my InFusion™ have?
A. The InFusion™ only has Flash memory onboard for the operating system and Firmware. All media is stored on a MMC via the memory slot. The InFusion™ is shipped with a 256MB MMC and we recommend up to 1GB MMC. A free Firmware upgrade to increase to 4GB MMC will be available later in 2007.

Q. My InFusion™ does not retain Time and Date settings.
A. In the first instance you should email support@torianwireless.com quoting the serial number of your InFusion™.

Q. Is the InFusion™ radio Stereo?
A. Yes, the InFusion™ output is stereo.

Q. What encryption is supported by the InFusion™?
A. The InFusion™ supports MAC security and WEP encryption.

Q. Will the radio work with the Apple Airport Extreme?
A. Yes. The InFusion™ will work with any IEEE 802.11b access point.

Q. Will it support Ogg-Vorbis / AAC files?
A. The InFusion™ does not support Ogg-Vorbis or AAC at this stage. A planned free Firmware upgrade is scheduled later in 2007 to allow support of Ogg-Vorbis and AAC Files.

Q. Will it support iTunes files?
A. The iTunes files are digitally encrypted by Apple and will not be playable on the InFusion™.

Q. How will this affect usage limits on broadband?
A. This would depend on the particular ISP. As far as the network is concerned, using the InFusion™ is just the same as listening to Internet radio from a PC. We suggest that you monitor your usage.

Q. Will it support WMA V9.1?
A. WMA 9.1 is not supported. A planned free Firmware upgrade is scheduled later in 2007 to allow support of WMA 9.1.

Q. How does the InFusion™ pick up the new stations and software?
A. The InFusion™ accesses the latest station information from our iRoamer gateway servers.

Q. If subscribed to a streaming audio service that provides programs on line but is not an InFusion™. Will I be able to add them to the list of stations I can get on the InFusion™.
A. We don't currently have support for all subscription services; this may be available in future firmware releases. We do have support for Live365 VIP services.

Q. Will the InFusion™ work on my broadband connection?
A. The InFusion™ will work with any Wireless broadband connection.

Q. Can I link the InFusion™ to my HiFi system?
